First Deputy Military Ombudsman Meets Cadets and Trainees of the Military Law Institute
First Deputy Military Ombudsman Ruslan Tsyhankov met with cadets and trainees of the Military Law Institute of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
All of the young officers and trainees had already completed practical training in military units, thus during the discussion they were asking practical questions about the protection of service members’ rights and the work of the Office of the Military Ombudsman.
Together with Ruslan Tsyhankov, they were analysing real-life cases and received practical legal advice.
“A lot of you will become legal advisors to commanders, and the lives and destinies of the service members will depend on your decisions, that’s why you will often be the ones advising commanders on the right course of action. And you will be the ones to uphold the law and justice. Great hopes are placed on you. Your professionalism, dedication and humanity are extremely crucial. You must think with a cool head, however keep a fiery heart. I am sure you will be able to perform your duties at a high professional level. And I am truly hopeful to see you during an internship at the Office of the Military Ombudsman,” said Ruslan Tsyhankov.
The Office team cherishes such meetings as an opportunity to share experience and receive feedback from aspiring professionals who will develop the system for the protection of service members’ rights in the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
