During a working visit to the east of Ukraine, the Military Ombudsman discussed key issues raised in servicemembers’ complaints with commanders at different levels — from corps to battalion. These conversations are not always easy, at times there might be caution or resistance. However, our task is to demonstrate that timely responses to problems ultimately strengthen units, command structures, and the Defence Forces overall.

Representatives of the Office of the Military Ombudsman also met with mobilized soldiers currently undergoing Basic General Military Training within the unit. The team answered their questions, informed them about their rights, and explained the types of issues they can bring to the Office of the Military Ombudsman, as well as how to submit a complaint.
