The team of the Office of the Military Ombudsman received complaints from servicemembers at a military hospital
After being wounded or released from captivity, servicemembers should be able to focus on their recovery rather than on resolving bureaucratic issues.
The team of the Office of the Military Ombudsman visited one of the military hospitals, where they assessed the conditions of servicemembers undergoing treatment and registered complaints related to military service.
Some servicemembers reported delays in receiving monetary allowances and financial assistance. Several warriors raised concerns regarding the receipt of state awards to which they are entitled. A complaint was also registered from a foreign servicemember awarded a state honour who is currently experiencing difficulties in acquiring Ukrainian citizenship.
The Office of the Military Ombudsman processes every complaint received. Warriors who defend our country at the cost of their own health should feel supported and confident that their rights are protected. According to the Office’s team members, who process dozens and sometimes even hundreds of requests each day, personal communication with the defenders remains their greatest source of motivation.
